Stats & Analytics Overview

The IO River platform provides comprehensive statistics and analytics information. The data presented in the service dashboards is collected from two sources:

  1. APIs provided by CDN providers.
  2. Sampling of logs.

The second source of data is often automatically enabled when you deploy the CDN provider via the IO River platform.

Log-Based Stats on CloudFront

When using CloudFront as a CDN provider, log samples are retrieved via CloudFront Real-Time Logs and Kinesis.
To enable log-based statistics for your CloudFront services, you should Setup a CloudFront Kinesis Stream.
This setup needs to be performed once for each AWS account used with IO River.

Data Incomplete Warning

When you access your service dashboard, you might see the following warning: "Caution: Data Incomplete".
Some of the data shown in the dashboards is retrieved from APIs, which provide aggregated and high-level metrics such as traffic volume, cache status, or error rates. Other parts of the data are derived from access logs.

This message appears because your service currently does not have log integration enabled. Without logs, only API-based metrics are available, which may cause some graphs or sections to show incomplete or missing data.

Integrating logs allows the platform to provide deeper visibility. To enable full analytics coverage, please contact support@ioriver.io, and our team will assist you in setting up log integration.
